This is an intensive course designed to solidify your understanding of the gesture, form, and anatomy of the human figure. Beyond just memorizing anatomical diagrams, we will focus on the structure and function of the anatomy to better understand how it can be used as a design element. Each week we will go over different parts of the body and focus on understanding how to organize and design the human form.

This class will introduce students to the basics of drawing costume and drapery. Heavy emphasis will be placed on understanding not just the structure, but also the mechanics of folds. This class will give students a better sense of how to design and simplify drapery when drawing from life, reference, or imagination.
